Clark Thompson, a retired colonel of The Union Guard, brought his family to Coyote aboard The WHSS Glorious Destiny. An individual already aware of the corruption of The WHU, Clark was quick to realise that they were just as corrupt and repressive on Coyote, as they were on Earth. Unimpressed with their attempt’s to govern Liberty, and the poor living conditions of Shuttlefield, Clark Thompson and his family decided to leave town, and form a small settlement of their own.
They relocated to a small riverside ridge, on the boarder of New Florida. They started from scratch, with only one cabin, but soon several others’s joined them, for a better peaceful life. Soon Thompson’s fishing village had a small tightly knit community. They constructed a small raft like ferry, in order to hunt on the other side of the river, the west coast of Midland. Thompson was able to trade with those who travelled to the settlement, wishing to cross the river.
It was not long before Thompson came in contact with individuals from the original colonists, who had fled east when The WHU arrived. Sympathetic to their cause, Clark and his adopted nephews became friendly with the resistance movement, after falling in love with life on Coyote. The moon had been good to him and his family… and The WHU were here to exploit it…
