Gabriel Pachino was the First Officer of The EASS Christopher Columbus, who came to Coyote with his Commanding Officer Anastasia Tereshkova, with the technology to build a Starbridge.
Despite being First Officer, it could be suggested that Pachino was somewhat jealous of his Second in command, Second Officer Jonathan Parsons, who impressed Tereshkova on their decent to Coyote. This jealousy perhaps turned to anger when Parson’s jumped ship, and fled his quarters when they arrived in Liberty.
However, if the truth be told, Gabriel Pachino never really fell in love with Coyote, like everyone else who travelled there did. Once his mission was complete, he returned to Earth, where he was promoted to Commanding Officer of his own ship… which was also destined for Coyote.
