The town of Liberty was the first settlement founded on the world of Coyote, by the original colonists, who came aboard The URSS Alabama. They were able to farm and conserve enough food to get through their first winter, and eventually the colony was able to sustain the 100 citizens.
However, when The WHSS Glorious Destiny arrived in C.Y 03, the original colonists fled their new home, in order to avoid being overwhelmed by the 1000 plus new colonists, brought to Coyote by The Western Hemisphere Union. The WHU’S arrogance saw Liberty suffer under the Union. They were too obsessed with controlling Coyote, and failed to look after it’s people. The standard of living was poor as Liberty was not large enough to accommodate the amount of new colonists.
The Union’s unwillingness to respect Coyote, and the opportunity it gave man kind, led to a passionate uprising against them, by the original colonists, who forced the Union to return home.
Now Liberty is the Capital of the Coyote Federation, and home to Government House, a two storey wood frame structure, built of Great Dakota timber, and a large clock tower rising from its roof. The Coyote Federation flag hands above it’s door, and a stature of Robert E Lee stands tall in the courtyard, carved from granite quarried from across the Eastern Divide.
