Clark Thompson brought his family to Coyote aboard The WHSS Glorious Destiny. He was quick to realise that The WHU were just as corrupt and repressive on Coyote, as they were on Earth. Unimpressed with their attempt’s to govern Liberty, Clark and his family had left town, and formed a small settlement of their own.
As more people joined them, Clark was able to construct a small raft-like ferry, in order to hunt on the other side of the river. Eventually, when rumours began to circulate that the original settlers, who fled Liberty when The Destiny arrived, had formed a new town on Midland, Thompson was able to trade with those who passed through his settlement, wishing to cross the river.
Clark was aware of the resistance movement to force The WHU away from Coyote, and was sympathetic to their cause. He also knew that if you were on the run from the Union Guard, there was only one place to go, and one way to get there. Many before had been and gone, but he knew the day would come when things would be different… that day had come…
