The colony had survived its first year, and many more, battled through tough harvests and severe winters, expanded towns, explored new lands, and built new homes. It had adopted democracy, and founded councils and governments, appointed mayors and elected presidents. It had celebrated anniversaries and historical firsts, and even fought a war of independence…
But now was the time for Coyote’s biggest most important historical event to date…
President Montero was preparing to return to Earth, via the newly constructed Starbridge… he would present his trade agreement to the governments of Earth, in an attempt to prevent the wear-down of technology and medical supplies that would render any further progression almost impossible.
But Coyote had trust issues with Earth, and many feared relying on the mother-world…
