Chris had come to Coyote as an Alabama colonist, with his parents, and younger brother. However, Coyote was a harsh place to spend your childhood, and Chris lost his father when he was killed by a ferocious animal, that attacked their hunting party one summer. The following summer, when he and several others made an ambitious attempt to run away from Liberty, he lost his brother, as Coyote’s youngest generation learned a lesson in survival the hard way.
Bitter from several conflicts with his childhood best friend, Carlos Montero, and still mourning the loss of his brother, Chris became the town drunk. When the settlement was contacted by the mysterious new ship that arrived in Coyote’s orbit, Chris made a decision that would effect everyone of the Alabama colonists, when he secretly broke radio silence, and transmitted co-ordinates of the settlement to the new arrivals…
