When it became apparent that Shuttlefield’s landing platform would not be large enough to accommodate The EASS Francis Drake, and the increased amount of freight and passengers that would pass through it, the Coyote Federation gave the European Alliance permission to found a new colony, provided it serve as Coyote’s main Spaceport.
It was built on the north shore of one of the southern subcontinents, across the Equatorial River from New Florida and Great Dakota. Its location was central, and accessible by boat from almost every landmass, which made it a prime, central location once Coyote’s settlements began to spread further.
It consisted only of a few log cabins and the landing area, but the presence of the Spaceport would ensure the colony would grow quickly.
